What is Distance Learning?

MBC&S offers an easy and affordable way for you to fulfill your dream whether you are just beginning your college career, are in the middle of it, or have lots of college experience behind you. Getting your education is rewarding and we at MBC&S want learning at home to be exactly what you are looking for.
The extension classes we offer are DVD based lectures taught by our gifted faculty at MBC&S. Watching the classes gives you the sense of being right in the classroom itself. This method of study has proven to be more effective than the traditional textbook type of correspondence material most readily available today. These lectures along with the accompanying tape course study guide and textbook provide a well balanced, satisfying educational experience. We also stress the importance of access to your instructor via email for personal interaction. Qualified personnel are available to answer any study questions you have through our easy toll free connection. Studying at home has never been easier!

Taking a Course
Once you enroll you receive a package including your DVD based lectures, a tape course study guide with detailed instructions and information that enable you to complete the course successfully, and your textbook(s) if required. You have all you need to start studying. Once you have started your course, you can set your own schedule and work at your own pace. The time limit for college course completion is normally one year from the date of enrollment. If you have any special circumstances, please call us to discuss adjusting the terms.

Exams - Proctors
Examinations are an essential element of all courses and provide information as to how you are doing in addition to the effectiveness of the course. To maintain the integrity of the courses, each student is required to take all exams in the presence of a proctor. This proctor should be a pastor, teacher, administrator, or other responsible adult who is not related to you. The name of the proctor must be registered with our office prior to mailing your exams. We then send all your course quizzes, tests and exams to your proctor, who you will conveniently report to when the time comes to take them. We ask you to also shoulder the responsibility and provide your proctor with a self-addressed stamped envelope each exam session to mail your test back to us for correction and recording. We will then send them back to you for your own records and personal benefit. Each successfully completed course will be awarded with a completion certificate from the Extension Department at MBC&S.
